The band Bolduc tout croche has been evolving on the Quebec alternative scene for more than ten years, defending a folk-country that delivers an unfiltered discourse and engaging human narratives.

Simon Bolduc (guitar and vocals), Marc-Antoine Sévégny (drums) and Andrea Mercier (bass and vocals), with the complicity of David Marchand (pedal steel and electric guitar), write contemporary songs that are rooted in the collective memory of Quebec country music. The band stands out for its raw emotion, honest look at situations and infinite sensitivity. What started as a craft project was polished over time and became an improved version of the same truth.

After their 2011 homonymous EP, it is with their first album, Volume 1, released in April 2013, that the project really took shape. The Centre-Sud EP followed in November that same year, then the band released a second full-length album, Volume 2, produced by Dany Placard. In 2018, Bolduc tout croche released their third album, Grande santé, which was critically acclaimed and nominated at GAMIQ in the Folk Album of the Year category. Its song Manche ouverte was a finalist for the prestigious Prix de la chanson SOCAN in 2019. Produced by Navet Confit, Émilie Proulx and Éric Goulet, Bolduc tout croche’s fourth album, Construire une table pour y mettre notre poing ensemble, will be released in March 2022.
