Raised in an Anglophone enclave in the LaSalle borough of Montreal, Canada, she adopted her stage name from the Street Fighter character, a nod to her facial features as well as her interest in martial arts.
The youngest of three, Chung grew up in a musical household, influenced by her Jamaican upbringing and her older brothers who’d listen to East Coast Rap and Southern Hip-Hop, all of which inspired her own love for timeless music. Chung started writing at a young age and began her journey as a recording artist with her former group, Low Key Ent., later collaborating with established local acts such as Boy6lue, Vnce Carter, Nicholas Craven and Mike Shabb. As she's climbed the ranks, she's caught the attention of industry heavyweights Conway and Roc Marciano by way of her witty pen game. Chung recently released her critically acclaimed debut EP “Chung Shui” with veteran producer Cotola (Agua Negra, Obia Le Chef, M.A.V.), a project combining street narratives from a women’s perspective with raw, soulful dramatic beats.
