Originally from the Caribbean Island of St. Vincent and based in Montreal’s Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district, it was through the support of a teacher and by attending the NotBadSound community studio that the young Skiifall began to devote himself to music, distinguishing himself by rapping in patois on drill productions. Then things accelerated rapidly: his track “Ting Tun Up” received support from R&B singer Jorja Smith and BBC Radio 1 host Benji B, Virgil Abloh asked him to sign the soundtrack of one of his latest advertising campaigns, and British record companies started coming up with contract proposals on all sides. His first EP Woiiyoie Tapes vol. 1 was released last August.
