Formed in 2018, Sylvie’s roots are in the wild but peaceful forests of the Laurentians. Inspired by psychedelic rock and 70s Quebec music, the band is also lulled by psych-folk, Touareg blues and prog. The quintet includes Anis Azzoug, Vinny Batista and Simon Charette as well as Francis and Alexandre Lamontagne. They have released two EPs both called L’Épopée pas pire d’Éric Lambert in 2019 and 2020, as well as a novel with the same title in 2020. Their first album, Cannabis & Coffee Club was released in the spring of 2021, and earned them a spot at the Francouvertes that same year.
