Virginie B is a singer-songwriter and producer who waltzes between multitudes of tones and textures in her musical compositions. After participating in several showcases (Coup de cœur francophone, Phoque Off), published a first EP (MARGO) in 2019 and opened for The Brooks at the Festival Diapason 2021, the Montreal artist (originally from Sherbrooke) has a surprising year in store for us. 2021 marks the release of the first pieces of an exciting mosaic, all parts of a first album - INSULA - released on January 28th. Recalling certain atmospheres created by artists such as Hiatus Kayote, early Diane Tell, Harmonium, Moses Sumney, or Minnie Riperton, this new project on which Virginie B is working has undeniably some dreamlike flavor to it. Residues of a neo-soul-textured dream.
